On Monday morning, 15th August 2016, ITP hosted an initial meeting with Representatives from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia (Swinburne University). The participants discussed about collaboration opportunities on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Engaging with this discussion, Representatives from Swinburne University included:
1. Mr. Jerome Donovan, Senior Lecturer, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Department of Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Logistics, Swinburne Business School
2. Mr. Ngui Kwang Sing, Associate Dean, Research & Engagement, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Business & Design, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, Malaysia

Representatives from ITP were:
1. Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Director of ITP
2. Mr. Le Nhat Quang, Business Manager
3. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bang, Community Evangelist
4. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Van Thanh, Marketing Executive

Before kicking off the meeting, Representatives from Swinburne University had a brief talk with several startups at ITP. All product and technology development as well as innovation ideas from ITP startups left a strong impression for them.

The key content of this meeting involved with approaching same targets from both sides, hence proposing practical collaboration in next stages. On behalf of Swinburne University, Mr. Jerome Donovan revealed their interest in connecting with tech-based universities in Vietnam to set up internationally qualified incubators as well as establish university-level innovation and entrepreneurship programs.

Sharing the core activities of ITP to Representatives from Swinburne University, Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi also introduced ITP’s vibrant entrepreneur environment with scaling and scope of work. In addition, Mr. Thi emphasized our collaborative willingness to Swinburne University in partnering and developing together with regional entrepreneur network. It is evident that ITP has been accessible to promote and ask for support from partners to build up nationwide idea competitions.

The open discussion from both sides.

Throughout the discussion, representatives from both sides agreed that there would be coming meeting in terms of synchronization, implementation and improvement for regional networking as well as creating the platform for innovation/entrepreneurship program. The main participants for this program may engage with current students-staff-alumni network from VNU-HCM and neighbouring areas. Ultimately, Swinburne University impressed with huge potentials from high-quality human capital from VNU-HCM which is the major component for action-based activities at ITP and efficient collaborations in near future. We hope that most success for our students and determined entrepreneurs will begin from ITP.
