The launching ceremony of Startup Area & Opening 2nd iStarx Program took place on 24th November in Information Technology Park (ITP).

Sponsored by Viet Nam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), ITP deployed the renovating D area project becomes Startup area for startup community.
As from 24th November, Startup area will be official activities after one month constructed. The main function of Startup area is serve the students and young people want to startup. Startup area will provide the best material and technological foundation, IT infrastructures. It will help ITP supporting private office for 10 startup groups, 50 seats in co-working space, VPS and webhosting for 20 startup groups. This is also special library with more than 100 books title about startup for everybody to learn and reference. In addition, this area also has an area of 200m2 for organize events, seminars with a capacity equivalent to 150 people.
In conjunction with the launching of The Startup Area, ITP is opening 2nd iStartX program. The iStarX accelerator program sponsored by Ho Chi Minh’s People Committee is implemented to strengthen and foster the new startup generation of technology. They are equipped with methods, instruments and management skills for business startup. Startup Area combines the startup support packages and iStartX program will contribute to impulse the building process of an Internet-focused startup ecosystem at ITP and startup community in VietNam.
Enrollment iStartX program 1st course with 5 groups selected and has finished course. 2nd course with 4 groups selected will be officially open today.
On this occasion, ITP and NATEC signed an MOU for cooperation. The two parties will effectuate a plan developing startup ecosystem. They are going to development assistance information technology and communications in Viet Nam.
